  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Toss the walnuts with the soy sauce until evenly coated.
  3. Sprinkle on the sugar and toss to coat.
  4. Pour the walnuts onto the prepared baking sheet and spread them out into an even layer.
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes until the walnuts are mahogany brown and fragrant. Remove the pan from the oven and let the nuts cool to room temperature.
  6. Store the roasted walnuts in an airtight container.
