Steps

  1. In a small saucepan, whisk together all ingredients except the fenugreek seeds and salt.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
  3. Once boiling, lower the heat and add the fenugreek seeds.
  4. Simmer gently until the liquid reduces by half. The sauce will darken and thicken, resembling soy sauce.
  5. Strain the liquid to remove any solids.
  6. Allow to cool completely, then transfer to a sterilised jar or bottle.
  7. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
