Cynthia L Braa on 2026-03-18 (5 stars): Very good recipe. I think the hi quality crushed tomatoes make it extra rich & delicious! I left out any sugar & bought large can of the San Marzinon tomatoes, used 1/3 in recipe & froze the other 2/3 rds in two baggies to have ready for 2 more batches.
Gary Kelly sr on 2026-02-01 (5 stars): mine was a little spicy so I will try less peppers. But still really tasty
Jay Martin on 2026-01-20 (5 stars): This has got to be the best salsa we've ever had 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Angelina on 2026-01-16 (4 stars): It’s definitely a good base. But I kinda want to make it spicier! And I’m not even a big fan of spicy.
Daniele on 2026-01-12 (5 stars): We made this and this is the best salsa we have tried making ourselves! I am getting more cilantro to make some more. I don’t like chunky salsa and this one is perfect.
Miss Karen on 2026-01-05 (4 stars): I concur.
Cilantro has a nasty soap taste. Bleh!
It is widely suggested to substitute flat leaf (Italian) parsley or celery leaves & a pinch of coriander. Even though they are both from the same plant, the flavors are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.
Cilantro is the leaves & coriander is the seeds and has a slight citrus taste.
I also used poblano in place of the jalapeños. (personal preference)
Ellie on 2025-12-20 (5 stars): I made this a lot times I do not use can stuff it put a metal taste to the salsa , vine tomatoes are the best , I use the smaller Roman tomatoes I wished I didn’t change the tomatoes it was ok , I use jar jalapeños never can ! If you go fresh it’s much better and you can taste all the ingredients without a metal taste ! !! Go fresh always
Amy Lou Who on 2025-12-09 (5 stars): Not a fan of the sugar, there’s SO much sugar in everything already, I really don’t believe it’s necessary, I love the acidity of tomatoes so I left it out but it was my first attempt
Or at making homemade salsa and with a few tweaks it was absolutely PERFECT, everyone loved it and I’m so, SO happy I found and decided to try this particular recipe! Also makes a wonderful pico if you stop halfway through making it. 😉
Terence on 2025-12-04 (5 stars): Best damn salsa I ever made!!! Tasty and authentic!
Nikki K on 2025-11-16 (5 stars): Delicious!!!! Made it for a party and everyone commented on how good it was.

Carol on 2025-11-07 (5 stars): This was delish. I have never put canned tomatoes, or chiles, so this was a nice surprise. I had roasted poblanos in the freezer and used them. Best part is I had everything in the house to make this with.
Brian J Nedelsky on 2025-11-02 (5 stars): Turned out awesome 😎
miiko on 2025-10-20 (5 stars): Excellent salsa! It's great as is, or if you want it a bit hotter easy to adjust the heat. If you want it smokier, easy to adjust as well.
Debbie on 2025-10-05 (5 stars): Could this recipe be canned? It's so delicious!!
