3 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups hot water - only use the amount needed to make a medium dough.

2 cups split peas
1 tsp turmeric
6 cloves garlic
4 Leaves shadon beni
1/2 scotch bonnet ( optional )
2 tsp roasted ground geera
1 tsp salt
Method -
Boil split peas with turmeric until it starts to split - your nail.should go through with a slight snap.Cool and grind with ; shadon beni, garlic and pepper.
To ground peas add salt ,geera and mix well.
Knead flour with salt, sugar and baking powder with water a little at a time to get a medium dough like sada Roti. Knead until smooth , cover and rest for 10 mins. Break into 4 oz dough balls, cover and rest for 5 mins.
Fill balls with a hand full of filling, bring up ends to seal.
Roll out and cook on medium heat.while oiling both sides. Cook until puffed up and golden.
